There’s a huge difference between wanting to do something and actually making it happen. Obsession For Beauty is something I have wanted to set up for a very very long time, years in fact and now I’ve finally begun this journey I don’t know why it has taken this long.

Having been absolutely fascinated with magazines from a very early age, I’d skip all the way to Woolworth’s with my Mum, on one condition, providing I could read as many magazine features whilst she shopped. When it came to my pocket money as a teenager while most of my friends would spend theirs on clothes or Jane Norman bags, I’d be in Superdrug buying up all their nail polishes, body creams, skincare products, I don’t know why, I just couldn’t get enough of trialling them out. It later came as no surprise a few years down the line when I watched 13 going on 30 and realised I wanted exactly the same life when I grew up. I wanted to become a journalist.

Fast forward about 12 years, I’ve since done a degree in Magazine Journalism and Feature Writing which has led me to working for some fantastic titles: Mother & Baby, Stella Magazine, Harper’s Bazaar, Red, Marie Claire, InStyle, LOOK, Stylist, and Black Beauty & Hair. Along with this I’ve also assisted on styling shoots for Maybelline, Revlon and Elemis. However, the dream is far from over yet as there are so many more publications I would love to write for, along with a few more life ambitions left to meet, one of them becoming a beauty editor.

Until then the main use of this blog is to push myself further, hopefully inspire you if I can and of course share all my latest discoveries with you in the exciting world that is health and beauty!
